The Apple

Here are some interesting facts that you might not know about the apple:
7,500 different varieties  are grow world wide.



The apple tree is part of the rose family.


2 pounds of apples make one 9 inch pie.


Apples are fat, sodium and cholesterol free.



The biggest apple ever picked weighed 3 pounds.


Apple trees can live to be 100 years old.


It takes the energy from 50 leaves to make 1 apple.


The apple is the second most valuable fruit in the USA, the orange is first.


Archeologists have found evidence of people enjoying apples since at least 6500 BC


Apples are a great source of fiber.


2/3 of its fiber is in the peel.


Most apples are picked by hand.



Our baby is 15 weeks along and the size of an apple. :)
