Our Blessings

Taylor, our newest little blessings.
Taylor is also a miracle, every baby is, but she is special to us because she came after 2 misscariges.
No mother ever deserves to go through having a misscarige.
It it a time of sorrow and a deep feeling of loss, but it also brings you so much closer to God, and your family.
When we went through them I could feel the prayers of our family all the time, I also learnt an important lesson, I cant do things on my own.
I was trying my best to be strong and trust in God no matter what, but I learnt that I cant do even that on my own, I needed strength for every day, every minute of my grieving, and for my every day life.
So Taylor Brianne was a special blessing that we got to meet on December 15 2015, she came 5 days late, and I was induced because they couldn't see her breath on the ultrasound I had the morning she was born.
But she was ready to come, and we were ready to meet her!

Waiting on the baby to make her arrival.

Meeting her big sister.

Our Blessings

So last night as I sat down to blog I looked out the window and saw a whole bunch of cute people outside playing base ball.
So of course I went out to join them.
We had a blast and came in late, I completely forgot about blogging.
So 2 posts for today it is!

My pregnancy with Brendan was a surprise, Kayla was still a baby, 9 months old, when I found out that I was pregnant. Never the less I was still super excited for this new baby!
When I was 7 weeks along I began to bleed.
It's the worst thing that can happen to you when you're pregnant.
I called my midwife, and took it easy for a few days, then went in to the ER and got some blood work and an ultrasound done over the next few days.
The emotions I went through during that time went from high to low so often.
The mixture of begging God to spare this little one, to being able to surrender this little life back to Him were very real.
After a week they said that all looked good, and it was topped off with me being able to see a teeny tiny little baby, the size of a grain of wheat, with a small beating heart inside!
This mama heart melted!!
8 months later we met Brendan Cole.
He was born on May 6 2013, 4 days late, 1 day before Josh headed to go seeding! :)
He new just when to come.

He was also my fastest baby to come. I went into labour at 3 pm, we left for the hospital at 5 and he was born at 7! We decided not to cut it so close next time! :)

Our fist family picture.

Brendan's 1st birthday
By the time Brendan was 1 he had learnt how to do many things, we was eating table food, sitting, crawling, walking, and had quite the personality.
Fun fact, Brendan had the biggest head of any of our babies. :)

McDonalds to celebrate!

The 2nd birthday
Brendan loves sports, any kind of sports, football, hockey, baseball and tennis.
He loves to watch sports with daddy, but he really loves watching his daddy play sports and always knows who he cheering for.
Fun fact, we have always gone out to McDonalds for Brendans birthday, now it's a tradition so we will just need to keep it up!

We made the announcement that we were pregnant again on Brendan's 2nd birthday.

And the 3rd birthday.
We knew just what to get Brendan of this birthday, anything for the outdoors!
He loves to play outside, riding his bike, riding with daddy, camping, picnics, sports, going for walks, swimming, swinging, ya, pretty much anything.
Fun fact, Brendan became a big brother, and he is the sweetest big brother that I know!

Thumbs up for the new bike!

Brendan, you are a sweet little kid. You have an awesome personality, and love to joke around with Daddy.
We have enjoyed watching you grow up these past few years and cant wait to see where this life will take you.
We love you Brendan!

Our Blessings

Makayla: Who is like God
Faith: To Trust
Trust, that was what the whole pregnancy with Kayla was about for me.
After having gone through the unexpected with Andrew I found myself leaning on the everlasting arms a lot during this time.
There were many what ifs, many concerns, and right from the start I told Josh that if we had a girl her middle name would be Faith.
But there were also many answers to prayer, and a lot of rejoicing when 30 weeks came and went, and the baby hadn't come yet.
Each week that we made it was a victory, and then on Novemeber 10 2011, on her exact due date, she was born.
It was like God was saying, see, I am in total control!

Makayla's birth went very well, she was born at 4 pm and we were on our way home at 6 pm!
We picked up Andy from my parents and headed home.

The 1st birthday.
Since their birthdays are only 6 days apart we have always celebrated Andy and Kayla's birthdays together.
This year was at Grandma and Grandpa Penners house.
Fun fact, Kayla got her first doll, and she loved it, and she still loves dolls/babies, a lot!

Birthday #2
Kayla grew a lot the first 2 years, she was very mature for her age, and ever so independent!
Fun fact, Makayla became a big sister!

The 3rd Birthday.
Her independence makes her an amazing big sisters, and a wonderful help to me!
She sees things that need to be done and does them, with being told a lot of the time.
Fun fact, she's a daddies girl, and would do anything for her daddy!

And the 4th Birthday
Kayla started kindergarten, and did amazing! She learnt to read and write.
She loves to hang out with all her little friends, and made big steps in over coming her shyness.
Fun fact, she once agin became a big sister, this time to her forever best friend.

Makayla, you are such a blessing to us, your servant heart and helpfulness are wonderful, I love to watch you with your baby sister, we love you girl!!
