Week 35

With the baby measuring in at around 18 inches this week the growing on length is almost done. Now it's just adding the weight. Back at around 20 weeks the babies fat made up only about 2% of the body weight. It ow counts for around 15% and will increase to 30%. So we should have nice plump arms and legs when this baby arrives.
Thank you once again Megan for taking pictures for me! You're the bestest!!

Winter Fun

This Winter has not been filled with hockey for me, (for obvious reasons) :) But everyone else has still been outside enjoying the ice and cold.
Once in awhile Andy and I will go outside and watch them having fun. Andy likes to point out who everyone is. Next Winter I'm guessing he will be wanting to be out there too.
Anyway, since I have not been skating I have been able to take pictures, which is almost as fun. :)

Week 34

6 weeks left!!!!
This pregnancy has gone by super fast!
I have started putting meals and baking in the freezer, and I have a list of Spring cleaning and organizing that I want to do in the next little bit.
We had a midwife appointment yesterday and everything looked great!
This week is more of the same, growing longer, heavier and stronger.
Andy is noticing my tummy more and more as it is getting in his way. :) He knows that that is where the baby lives, but I'm sure he will be surprised once the baby comes to live with him. :)

P.S. I can't see my toes anymore. :)

Week 33

The baby is growing...growing... and growing.
He/she weighs around 4 1/2 pounds and measures between 17 and 19 inches. If the baby is shorter he/she could grow up to 1 inch this week alone!
The digestive system is ready to go, and the babies bones are starting to harden.
Oh and we are trying to find names for this baby. :)

Week 32

From here on out the biggest changes that the baby has is in size. :)
Weighing almost 4 pounds and mearsuring around 19 inches all that is left to do is grow. The digestive system is ready and a nice layer of fat is now under babies skin so that it will be able to stay warm after birth.
I can't believe that we only have 8 weeks to go! EXCITING!!!!!

Thanks for taking pictures again Megan!!

Week 31

Week 31 is here! I missed last week as my dear sister got married and we were all busy with wedding stuff. The wedding was beautiful! They make a great couple!

So anyway, we have made it past 30 weeks again!! For me that is a blessing and a relief. Even though sometimes it feels like this baby is ready to be born judging from how active he/she is I know the hospital time that we would have to put in and I'd much rather wait!! God knows the perfect time for this baby to be born, we are so blessed to just be able to trust in Him!!

This week the baby continues to grow in weight and length, measuring around 17 inches and weighing over 3 pounds now! And he/she is heading into a growth spurt! :) All five sences are working now, although the baby won't smell anything until after birth.

Andy and Kayla are learning about babies. Kayla got a doll for her birthday and will pick it up during her play and walk around holding it close and rocki g, so cute!! She loves babies, but not so much when her mommy is holding them. :) So I'm sure we wil have a few tears once the baby come but after she gets over that she will be a little mommy to the baby. Andy, well he pats, huge and kisses my tummy cause that's where the baby is. He also likes to look at the ultrasound poctures. :) Other than that he doesn't seem to care. :) They will both be a big help to me though once the baby comes!

I don't have pictures of me this week, but I did steal some pictures from Megan's blog that she took at my sister's wedding. :)
