The Best Day Of My Life!

1,825 days ago I made THE best decision of my life, I married my best friend in the while world!
It's been wonderful! I not regretted my decision at all!
Josh has made me a better person, he has been there through EVERYTHING, he has been a shoulder to cry on, a friend to laugh with, someone to keep me warm at night, a wonderful daddy to our kids, someone to share secrets with, tell stories to, a friend who has always been there for me, a great kisser :) and the most loyal husband I could wish for!
I am so blessed to call you my husband and I can't wait to see where the next 5 years will bring us!
I love you!

Just Take The Time

Life is busy.
There is no way around it.
Spending time a lone with your spouse is hard to do... if it has to be perfect.
We seem to have this ideal way of "going on a date" and when it doesn't work out the way we pictured it should, we often just forget about it all together.
I know that as a mom of 3 little kids getting dressed up to go on date hasn't happened in awhile, (a really long while) :) But a date doesn't have to be "perfect". It's not about where we are it's about who is there by our side.
For Josh and myself we have our dates nights every Friday, Josh plays hockey at a arena an hour from our place, so we will usually go out for supper with some friends and then I watch Josh play hockey, we pick up some ice cream and head home. My favourite part of those dates is the driving, 2 whole hours of just the two of us being able to talk with no interruptions. It's a great time to just discuss different things, talk about training our kids, and what some of our goals are for our life. It may not seem "perfect" but it is perfect to me.
And of course we couldn't go on these date nights without our wonderful parents, who take care of our kids for us!
So on that note I thought I would share about how we celebrated Valentines day.
Valentines day Josh was out hauling grain and I was gone helping Josh's sisters get ready for a valentines banquet at their church. It was a busy, but very fun day. Then in the evening Josh came to pick me up (with flowers) :) and we went to hockey. So seeing as we didn't have time do anything out of the ordinary, the next night, after the kids were all in bed, I cut up some strawberries and bananas, melted some chocolate, and Josh and I enjoyed a romantic fondue, along with watching olympic curling. :)
We didn't need to make reservations, or go anywhere. We didn't need to get a babysitter, or spend a lot of money, all we needed was, US and the love that we have for each other.
Don't worry about your dates being "perfect" instead, look for the "little" opportunities in life that come along, maybe it's renting a movie, or baking cookies together, it may even be fruit and melted chocolate. Whatever the case, remember that it's who you're spending time with, not where you are, that matters.
It might take some extra effort, but it's really worth it!

Happy Birthday Kerri!!

Kerri is special girl.
She as the biggest servant heart that I have ever had the pleasure of being around.
Kerri is a treasure.
She never complains, she works tirelessly, she serves others before herself.
Kerri is a jewel.
She loves to sing, laugh, make others laugh and have a great time.
Kerri is a sweetheart.
She isn't afraid of work, she is organized and she loves to move things around in the kitchen.

Kerri you deserve a wonderful day, cause you are such a wonderful person.
We love you Kerri!!

These are all harvest pictures, when I had the pleasure of helping Kerri.

9 Months Old

Life is changing for Brendan, he has almost reached the point of moving. :)
For the past few weeks Brendan has been so very close to crawling, but he hasn't figured it out yet, but he can move around a fair bit, by pushing himself backwards or spinning on his tummy.
In a way it kinda makes me sad, once he can crawl then he will be so much more independent, but he will be so much happier once he can get to where he wants to go.
Andrew and Makayla both walked before they crawled so this is a new thing for me, it's kinda hard to let my baby go. :) But life goes on, and I'm very excited to see what God has in store for my little ones.

So these are Brendan's 9 month pictures, I thought of sitting him down and setting him up, but I knew I would be chasing him anyway, so I just grabbed my camera and left him where he was, and where he was trying to go. :)

We love you Brendan Cole!
