Christmas Memories

This Christmas both of our kiddos were sick which was to bad for them! They didn't eat anything, and they slept a lot, thankfully they can sleep anywhere! We are now all feeling better which is a blessing! Never, ever forget to be thankful for health!

 

Christmas Eve we had Christmas as a family, we go the kids Christmas jammies and a floor mat, they tried to be excited but it didn't seem to work to well. :)

Christmas Eve we went over to Josh's family for supper, games, fondue and a movie. The next morning we had breakfast, played games and got our big Christmas lunch ready.

In the afternoon we headed over to my family, they played hockey in the afternoon, then we got supper ready.

After supper we had fondue, played games and watched a movie.

 

The next morning we opened gifts, went skating, and then headed out to for a gathering at my Grama's in the evening.

Week 23 :)

So on Thursday I had my ultrasound, everything looked great, the baby was a little stubborn and really made us work to get a picture of the heart, but other wise all went well! He/she is very active and flexible!! But there was one thing that I was not expecting to hear... my dates are off and the baby is only measuring 23 weeks and 3 days instead of 25 weeks! :) So plans have changed, :) As of right now my due is set for May1st or 2nd, I'll see what my midwife says when she sees the ultrasound.

 

I always thought that if something that would happen to me I would disappointed, but I'm not really; I am so looking forward to meeting this little one but I really enjoy being pregnant, so 2 more weeks is fine with me! Plus we really have no idea when this little one will makes it appearance, only God knows and that's fine with me!

So I will pause the weekly updates till we get back to where we were and leave you with some pictures of Josh's birthday party.

Today we celebrate the birthday of a very special man... my soul mate and best friend. Josh, you are a wonderful man and everyday I am amazed at how much the Lord has blessed me by placing you in my life! Being your wife is a dream come true. I love being your life partner, striving to train our children the way God intended, being there for you and sharing life's little moments with you! You are the man of my dreams and I love you!

Week 24

That was a fast week! I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas, we sure did, lots of fun with family, lots of good food and many new memories!

It was a good week for Christmas and food as the baby has been growing longer and gaining weight. The baby now weighs about 1 1/2 pounds and is around 8.8 inches long. He or she was also able to enjoy the Christmas songs, if we played then loud enough. :)

I am feeling great! Christmas didn't really get me to tired thanks to the energy I'm having right now. Other than a cold and the flue one day I have been feeling quite wonderful!

 

Next week Thursday is our ultrasound, I'm really looking forward to seeing this little kicker!!

Week 23

 

Well the time has come again! :) I'm carrying a miracle inside me and I can't help but share the joy and excitement!!!

 

I am feeling great! The first trimester went by way to fast! I had a few weeks of morning sickness but thanks to both my families (sisters especially) I didn't have to cook to much food and I made it through. I have really been enjoying the second trimester, being able to cook, and eat what I cook, not NEEDING naps every day and most of all feeling this little one kick and squirm! That's my favorite part of being pregnant!!

 

Thankfully I was able to have a midwife again this time, what a blessing!! We had our first appointment Dec 3, everything looked and sounded great! I have my next appt on January 3 along with an ultrasound, which I'm REALLY excited for!!

 

 

This week the baby is working on gaining weight, (which probably means the same for me) :) The baby is around 8 inches long and a lot of the organs are working now, so it's time to put on weight!

I have been trying to explain to Andy that we are going to have a new baby, the other day he put his hand on my tummy and said, its a baby in there, so sweet!!
