Because It's Cold Outside

It happens every year, the extreme cold hits, and we get stuck inside. Not that it's a bad place to be, its rather quite nice compared to the weather outside. 

But... it usually gets me thinking of the warm weather that we were enjoying not that long ago.

And since I still have many, many Summer pictures that need to be blogged, here they are!

Our first bon fire of 2014

It was an exciting time!

Andy and Kayla watched carefully, fires are one of their favourite things in the summer, so this was great!

Brendan was more interested in the tractor that was used to bring the wood over.

After Teddy came over Brendan changed his mind about the tractor, cause there not much that this little guy like more than this dog!

A New Friend

About a month ago my sister's miniature horse had a very little foal, he is so cute!!!

His name is Sky and I love how he follows his mother around EVERYWHERE! :)

We got to go see him when he was just 4 days old.

                  Kayla is not an animal lover so she wouldn't go close unless she was being held.

Brendan on the other hand would walk right under the horse if you let him, he loved all the animals.

Signs of Summer

A few weeks ago we enjoyed our first wiener roast of the year. (Since it is Summer I haven't got to posting these till now) :)

We got Josh a new fire pit for him birthday and the kids were excited to try it out.

We had a lot of fun and are looking forward to doing it again!

Planting The Garden!

This week it was finally time, time to get out in the dirt and get our seeds planted!

It was beautiful day for being outside, and we had a lot of fun. 

My little, big helpers.

He did a super duper job of placing each potato in the hole with the pokey side up. :)

 And the finished product. Now the waiting starts, the kids are eager to see what all their work will produce!
