Party Time!

Its my oldest sons 7th birthday.
Where did the time go?
It went into smiles, learning, memories, loving, hugs, cuddles, growing up and just being you.
Andrew, every time your birthday comes around, and many times in between, I think of the day you were born , the questions, the worries, the fears.
But God had a plan for you, a perfect plan, and I am thankful to be a part of this miracle that He gave to us.
We love you!!

Last week we did a big party for Andy and Kayla, Josh's family is gone on vacation on their birthdays so we celebrated early.
We had both sides of our families together at my parents, we ate food, visited, opened gifts, and ate cake.
Thank you so much Megan for capturing these sweet memories!
You're the best!

Ready for the party to get started.

Happy 50th Birthday!

Back in February my parents both turned 50! I remember when I was growing up that 50 was REALLY old!!! But guess what, its not that old at all! :) Now that my parents are that age 50 seems almost young, cause I really don't think of my parents as being old.

So to celebrate us kids got together in March and threw a party for them. We invited a bunch of their church friends and fed them a lot of really good food! What more would you want for your 50th birthday party?!

Getting the table all set.

Our theme was Mexican food, Josh and Steve made delicious fruit salsa for a dessert.
We also had Mexican soup, enchiladas, Mexican chopped salad, chicken fajitas and lots of yummy desserts!!

We had lots of help!

Cutting the squares, Rita not really trusting that I can do it right. :)

These sweet little girls played all afternoon together, not a singe fight, they are so cute to watch together! :)

We love you Mom and Dad, may God bless you with another 50 years!!!!

Party Time!

November is a busy month for us when it comes to birthdays. I have 1 brother and 2 sisters with November birthdays, plus our 2 kids. So when it comes to a party we just all get together and celebrate everyone!
This year we headed out to Portage la Prairie and the indoor swimming pool.
Our kids were so excited about going for weeks! When the day finally came they were thrilled.
In the morning we worked on Andy's cake, he wanted a killer whale cake, and I figured I'd give it a try. I worked out great, and even made it to the pool in one pice! :)

Andy and his cake, we took some pictures before we left, just in case. :)

Swimming, splashing and smiles.
