Camping Post (the last one)

For the sake of memories I have one last camping trip to post and then we will move on to other things.
We got to our campsite in the evening, set up camp and had ice cream and a relaxing evening.
The next morning was bright, sunny and warm!
So we headed down to the lake and spent the day in the tube, on the tube, or watching the fun.
it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed every min of it!

Nothing like a Summer breeze in your hair!

Waiting for a ride.

Their favourite place to be!

Giving Bob and Zach a ride.

The kids really enjoyed being out in the water this year, they loved the tube and Andy and Kayla both got on the knee board as well and they did they really good!

After our warm sun shinny day a storm hit, and it hit hard! It was the worst storm that they had had in a long time! We were thankful to be able to take shelter at Josh's grandparents and then headed back to our camper for night. The next morning Josh chalked our camper jacks and realized that our camper had moved about a foot in the storm!
The sky after the storm.

The next day was cool and a bun ch of the peeps went over and helped clean up Henry and Megans yard, it was a mess after the storm. The rest of us stayed in the rv watching movies, eating and visiting.

The next day, our last day, was beautiful again! And once again we made the most of it, beaching, boating, swimming, tanning, eating, laughing and being together.

We are so thankful for the many fun days that we were able to spend together this Summer and look forward to next year when we can do it all again!!

Swimming Lesson Camping Trip

This is our 3rd year that the kids have done swimming lessons, and we camp for the week.
We were not able to get our usual campsite so we had to stay at another one 10 mins from the lessons.
We still had a great time, the weather was beautiful, other than 2 storms that passed through, and we took advantage of having an ice cream shop with in walking distance of our campground! :)

We came in on Sunday and got settled and set up, then enjoyed ice cream, its the best way to start off a camping trip!

Then we got busy with learning how to swim.

We had beautiful campfires every evening.

And nice sunny days for swimming.

We took the crew, 12 kids 6 and under, to the park one evening.

These 2 are a month apart and are so much fun to watch together!!

We had 2 VERY hot days, so the kids cooled off.

And the hot humid weather brought in 2 storms, we left the campground one time, and stuck it out the second time, no damage was done other than the power going out a few times, and I now know how to put up our camper owning like a pro! :)

Watching movies while it rained.

Then we went back to swimming!

Front floats and back floats.

We took the boat out one afternoon to a near by lake and let the kids burn off some energy that way.

And back to the pool for more lessons.

These 4 girls spent a lot of time together!

The kids all did really well in their lessons!

So we finished up the week with playing at the park again.

And more ice cream!!!

The Fun Continued

We came home, unloaded our camper, then jumped on the mower and quickly mowed our grass.

Went to the strawberry farm and picked and cleaned up 5 pails of delicious berries.

Then packed up and headed out to the campground again!

The first 2 days were rainy and cool, so we played some tennis, went out to eat, watched movies in the camper, went to Josh's grandparents and played many games of cards with these crazies. :) Even though the weather wasn't perfect camping weather we still made lots of memories!

And once the sun came out we made the most of every single camping minute!

We did lots of water sports and lots of watching.
Hello from uncle Nate.

Great grandma and grandpa came for a visit.

Mikey was happy for the sunshine!

And the boat was kept busy!

Sweet smiles!

Tubing.

Picking up new passengers.

Off they go again!

Wake boarding.

The captains of our boat.

And we went fishing! No fish were caught but a lot of casting was done and much fun was had!
