A Beautiful Summer Evening

The heavens declare the glory of God...

and the firmament sheweth His handy work.

Day unto day uttereth speech...

And night unto night sheweth knowledge.

There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

FINALLY!!! The Real Food!

One week a go I started giving Andrew baby food. I bought a sweet potato and Great Grama gave him a banana so we got started.

I think maybe I'll stick with the sweet potatoes for now...

They taste a lot better!!!

Andrew is doing very well. He is growing lots and now weighs over 13 lbs. As you can see his hair is not growing, but he makes up for his lack of hair in every other way :)

He sleeps through the night most of the time, once in a while he wakes up not not often at all.

He is not rolling over but he does move himself around with his feet some how, I can't really explain how he does it.

He is beginning to figure out his name and will look at you when he hears it, although he has so many so I don't blame him for taking awhile. :)

He is a very happy baby when his tummy is full and he is not sleepy, he loves it when you take time to sit and talk to him and just spend time with him. He is a little sweetheart!!

Rain, Rain and More Rain!

This afternoon we had another bunch of rain...

The sky getting dark...

Our garden after 5 minutes of rain and wind...

We got just under half an inch in 3 - 4 minutes.

Grampa was on his way out of the yard with a load of grain and Josh had to help him out because the road got so muddy.

We are ever so thankful that we got all our seeding done and that we are not drowning (quite) Everything is growing lots and even though we are getting a lot of rain we know that we can trust God, He knows what is best for us!

Happy Baby...

This morning I put Andrew down to sleep at 11. I got the garden weeded, clothes hung out on the line, ate lunch and watered my plants. I came in 2 1/2 hours later and this is what I saw...

Happy Father's Day!!

Father's Day is such a wonderful way to celebrate the special men in our lives, and this year I get to appreciate my husband and his new role in life, being a Daddy.

Josh, you are such a wonderful father to our child, the way that you love spending time with Andrew, the sweet little conversations that you have with him, the cute smiles that you share, I thank God every day that He gave us this special child, and that Andy has a Daddy like you. The road for you has been one that I'm sure you never dreamed of taking, but God knows what is best, and Andrew is so much more than worth the wait! I know in my heart that you will make a wonderful Daddy to Andrew, and to any other children that the Lord blesses us with.

...both Father and son loved watching, and as long as the bottle was close by they were both happy. :)

Some day I know that you will have a little shadow following you around every where, your son will look up to you, he will ask you questions, and then want to know why, he will go along with you and then beg to stay longer when it's his bed time, he will believe everything that you say, and he will know that you are the best Daddy in the whole wide world!!

I love you Josh and I want you to know that you are a wonderful Father!!!

Andrew and I are so very blessed!!

Flower Gardens

This Spring Josh helped me and I got 1 new flower garden, plus we redid one that we already had. And since it is raining I thought it would be nice to do a post of when the weather was sunny. :)

Andrew really enjoyed being outside, helping me.

He loved the dandelions and tried to eat them. :)

After much digging, hauling in rocks and dirt this is the finished product.

I'll try to remember to post more pictures once the flowers are bigger.

Once again it the blog has been slightly neglected for which I am sorry, the weather being so nice is what I'll choose to blame this time. :)

Anyway, I thought I would share these cute pictures that I took this afternoon, Andy is starting to enjoy his time in here more and more.

Andrew is getting over his cold now so he is able to come out too, he is growing so big, I'm not sure how much he weighs now, but he is starting to notice so many things and he is starting to hold onto and chew on toys, I'm enjoying every minute of it!!
