Week 28

We have reached the third trimester!! Now that's something that I have a hard time believing!! Only 12 more weeks till we get to meet this little miracle!

This week the lungs are considered mature and if the baby were to be born now it  should be able to survive, a very comforting thought for me, but not something that we want to go through again Lord willing.

The baby now measures 16 inches from head to toe and weighs around 2.9 pounds.

Along with blinking the baby can now also cough and some studies show that the baby may be having dreams. :)

 

 

 

Week 27

91 days left!!! Wow!

This week is an exciting week for the baby, he/she would now be able to survive if I were to have this baby early. We pray not, but it's still nice to know!

He/she is now awake and asleep in regular intervals, which as far as I can tell are very good intervals, awake during the day, sleeping at night. :)

With the new brain tissue that is developing th baby is now able to open and close it's eyes, even suck it's thumb!

He/she now wieghs right around 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches with it's legs stretched out.

 

 

 

Yesterday we had a midwife appointment. Everything sounds great!

 

 

 

 

 

Every Day Starts With Breakfast

 

 

At our place breakfast is the most favorite meal of the day!

I don't know if it's cause you get to eat wearing your pjs, or if it the cute/silly hair dues, or the syrup...

 

 

 

Week 26

Green... Blue... Brown... We don't yet but the babies eyes are now beginning to open!! The color is not there yet, but it will be developing in the next month or two.

Not only can the baby see now the brain waves activity  is kicking in now and he/she is starting to respond to noises, lights and so on. I have already noticed movement when I turn on the egg beater or something.

 

I am feeling great! Nothing to report. :) I can't believe that we only have 14 weeks left till we get to meet this new little miracle!!! Time is going so fast!!

Makayla Faith 1 year old

 

So 2 months ago our baby girl turned 1! And her auntie Megan one again was so kind and took some super cute pictures of her that I never got around to posting yet, thanks Megan!!

Week 25

So we are back! :) These past 2 weeks have felt like extra time to me, cause I thought we had already lived them but now we got to do it again, it was kinda nice actually. :) Buts its nice to be back to where I was!
 

 

The baby has been very busy this week, not only gaining weight, he or she weighs around 1 1/2 lbs now, but also hair!!!! This is always exciting for me! :) You can also tell what color the hair is. Besides hair the baby has also been working on developing the lungs and just starting to practice some breathing! Also happening this week is the development of tiny blood vessels right under the skin.

I have been feeling great! My days are filled with kicks and squirming, but usually when it's night time he or she goes to sleep quite nicely! :)

Winter Fun

 

Last week we enjoyed really nice weather, till the weekend anyway, then a snowstorm hit! But we made the most of the mild weather, Makayla loved it, this was her first time walking outside and it was a great adventure!

 

We headed out to see all the animals.

 

Jesse met us along the way and gave the kids a ride, which they really enjoyed!

Now we are waiting for the very cold weather to pass so that we can go out and play again.
