It's Been Awhile...

Since I have done a post or told you about how Andrew is doing;
Yesterday was a very sad day for him, he coughed and coughed and coughed some more, he needed a lot of attention just to stay happy for a few minutes. This is the first bad cold he's had this Winter, which I'm really thankful for! Today he is doing better, and I'm happy!!
Andy is still not walking, or crawling and he doesn't have any teeth. As you can see by the pictures he loves to stand at furniture. He is still slow in taking steps but his balance has come a long way. I am pretty sure that he will walk long before he crawls. He has been working on his front top 2 teeth for the past few weeks, so far they are not through, but I keep thinking this could be the day. :)
Andrew is a very happy boy and quite smart. He knows pat-a-cake, how big is Andy, praise the Lord and please, which he now does all the time, it's cute, but now it's also time to teach him that he can't have everything that he says please for. He is not saying anything, although we are really working on Da, Da and Ma, Ma.
His favorite things to do are stand and watch the Gaithers or his fish, he loves it when you play with him or if he can play in his exracauser, that and drink his milk. He has been eating table food for a couple of weeks now, he is enjoying it, and in answer to our prayers and some wonderful advice constipation is no longer bothering him!!
Andy has really stretched lately, he is now 26 inches tall and weighs 20 pounds. He loves giving kisses and snuggling with Mom.

Some days it seems like Andrew will never grow up, when I see other babies younger than him doing stuff that he is not able to do yet, I would never trade him for anything in the world, but I would also love for him to learn to do more things. But then I think of where God has brought him from and I am once again so thankful just to have him in our family, I don't care how long it's going to take him till he walks or gets teeth and talks, we love him for who he is and we know that God has a special plan for our special little guy!!
I Love You Andrew Joshua!!

Aw, he's just perfect! Parents compare their babies no matter what the situation, it's just something we naturally do. He's so blessed to have you as parents :)

Glad Andy is feeling better!

I agree with Stacey, it is so easy to compare and we all do it. I am so thankful to see you rest in God's timing and that you cherish the little treasure that Andy is.....to all of us! You are great parents...Andy is so blessed to have your love :)

Love Mom

Andy does kisses! I have been trying to teach my girls that forever! They just look at me like I am really strange.

Our son was also born a preemie (at 34 weeks) and has experienced numerous "delays" in his milestones but now at age 2 and 3/4 he is doing great! He is still delayed in his speech and gets speech therapy. I remember all the concerns I had for him when he took so long to do what every Mom expects at certain times, ie. roll over, crawl, use his hands in a coordinated fashion, etc. Then, he surprised us all by walking at 13 months.
