Haying Time!

Making Hay Step One
This week Josh and I have been busy "making hay while the sun shines" (: This is what the field looked like when we started...

...and this is what it looked like once were done, it smelled really good too! :)

The faithful haybine once again doing it's job.

While cuttting we found a duck that was not quite old enough to fly, we moved hin out of our path and let him go.

Step Two

After letting the hay dry for a few days we raked it, putting 2 swaths into 1 and letting the bottom dry too.

Step Three

Josh, still smiling, thats always a good sign! :)

I think this picture was taken after the smiling one, :)

This is what it looks like from the back of the baler, gathering up the swath....

...opening up the back...

...and dumping out the bale.

Oh one more thing, testing the bale to make sure that it is nice and dry.

And this is the end of it, at least for this field, :) Thank God for nice weather and safety!
