Canning Corn

This week has been busy, busy, busy, with canning, canning, canning!

We have got pickles made, peaches canned, apple pies in the freezer, salsa in jars and now the corn is done!

This is the first year since Josh and I got married that I actually have corn to can! Every other year something has happened to keep me from getting corn. So needless to say I was excited for the promise of corn this year! So last Thursday was corn day. the kids and I got started in the morning, I picked it and Andy and Kayla put it into baskets. Kerri, dear sweet Kerri came over and helped us husk it. Then after a quick lunch break we got busy cutting it off the ears. After 1 hour we were done, and by the end of the day I had enough corn in the freezer for 27 meals!

Harvest is such a wonderful time of year, enjoying all the blessings that God has given us.

Thank you Kerri for your help! With out you I'd probably still be working at it!
