Catching Butterflies

For Brendan there are 2 kids of bugs, lady bugs and butterflies.

The other night he headed (rubber boots and all) Picked up a butterfly net and started "catching butterflies" which for him means, hitting flies with the net. :)

Where could they be?

Saw one!

Oh, I missed it mommy.

Searching high and low.

Did I see something move?

How dare those flies come in our yard?!

Smiles!

Water Fun

On Saturday we woke up to a rather warm, humid day.

We enjoyed pancakes for breakfast, then cleaned up and relaxed.

After lunch some of us went for a game of tennis, which was cut short when they put up tornado warnings for our campsite!

We headed back, cleaned up all our stuff and were getting ready to leave till the storm passed when it started to rain!

We all scrambled into the RV and watched and prayed.

Thankfully the storm passed with just rain, wind and a little bit of hail.

Oh, and a nice big puddle!!

Since the kids were all wet we decided to head down to the beach again.

After a super steak supper Josh took Brendan and the girls on the boat again.

The girls tried out the knee board.

They were really good!

Although once in awhile you have to fall. :)

Brendan was happy to watch.

Then they pulled out the tube. Even Brooke and Kaya gave it a try.

And that was our last, wet, fun day! We are looking forward to going again!

And the Fun Continues!

Our second day camping was perfect!

The weather was perfect and we made the most of it!

In the morning we took the kids for a walk, then after lunch us older girls had a turn on the boat.

After we got back Jenny and I decided to be brave and take 8 cuties to the beach

They had a blast, and we counted to 8 A LOT! :)

Then Jen and I put our heads together and came up with a great plan, we would rinse the sand off the kids, then carry them to the grass to dry and they would be clean. (lake water clean)

It worked swimmingly!

After we got back Kerri had a fabulous supper waiting for us, she never lets you down when it comes to food!

After supper we relaxed and visited and enjoyed another campfire. 

Camping Trip #2

So. Because I missed 4 days while we were gone last week I decided to be faithful and blog the first 4 days of June, and what better pictures to blog then our camping trip!

There are to many for one post so heres the beginning.

Last week Thursday I had finished all my work for the day and was sitting outside enjoying the sunshine when I saw Dad pull the RV up to their house. 

I figured they must be getting ready to go camping, and I was glad that I didn't have to get ready to go camping in such a rush!

5 mins later Josh came on the yard and asked if I wanted to go camping! :) Our sweet neighbours had invited us to join them, and now the rush was on! 1 hour to pack (throw) everything into the camper and leave.

It was a crazy hour, but it was fun, who wouldn't have fun getting ready to go camping?!

We made it there in time for check, set up camp and then just enjoyed the weather and being together as a family.

Who wouldn't have fun with all these kiddos?!

After yummy pizza for supper we had ice cream!

Then while some people went out on the boat the rest of us sat and relaxed and visited. Then after the kids were in bed we had a campfire and spitz!

The next day beautiful! A perfect camping day!
