1 More Week

We have made to the last week!
Where the time went I have no clue!
But each day has been enjoyed, made the most of, and busy. :)
We made it back from our vacation on Monday, pictures to come. Everything went well and no baby came.
Today I had a midwife appointment, Josh was hauling grain so I took the kids with me.
We had fun listening to the babies heart beat, doing some shopping, and stoping for ice cream.
Everything looked great, the baby is growing and getting ready to be born, and we cant wait!

My 39 week picture is blurry, a funny colour and has terrible lighting, but its perfect.
Its all I love, the people that I live for and am blessed to have in my life.
They are the people that make my life go by so quickly, they have sticky hands, and loving hearts.
And I cant wait to add another one to the bunch!!
My hear is full!

Pregnancy #4

As we get to the end of this pregnancy I am once again amazed by the fact that we have been chosen to be the parents to another blessing.
To be trusted to train this child, protect him/her and one day have the opportunity to lead them to Christ.
I never take for granted the large task that comes with parenting, but I do enjoy every minute of it!
We are blessed so with the 3 kids and cant wait to meet this little one!

We are packed and ready to leave for our vacation tomorrow morning, and will be getting back on the 30 of November, so Im hoping that this baby doesn't decide to come to early! :)
So far I have been feeling great, some braxton hicks here and there, the baby is dropping and is head down, so it basically just waiting left to do!

Back in October Josh's sweet sister Megan took our maternity pictures.
She did a flawless job once again, thanks Megan, you're the best!!

37 weeks

We are down to 3 weeks left!!!!
The kids can hardly wait.
Every day I have one of them giving me ideas on how to get the baby out :)
They remind me that I'm getting really fat. :)
They have many different name ideas
I get lots of help from them getting the nursery ready and many other little jobs
Yesterday Kayla and I washed all the baby clothes and got the nursery all ready
All thats left do now is pack the diaper bag and my bag for the hospital
But first we are taking a mini family vacation to Elk Horn, so no count down happening yet. :)

I am feeling great, less tired than with my other pregnancies, which is rather nice! :)
This baby is still moving around A LOT, which means that I'm sharing even more of the space where my ribs and bladder are, but whatever keeps the baby happy! :)

Count Down and a Birthday

The app says 35 day.
Yup, 35.
I double checked it because it seems like it should be more!
But its not, and we are getting closer and closer to meeting this special little person, and I cant wait!
We had an appointment yesterday and everything looked and sounded great!
The head is down, the heart rate is 140 and the kicking and poking are continuing.
I have been feeling great! So far I don't need to have a lot of naps (if I go to bed like a Grama) :)
I am so thankful that I have energy to be up and around and enjoy this time of life!
I was looking through my pictures and found the ones of me at 35 weeks with the other kids, well not Andrew, but here are ones of him 5 weeks old so its kinda the same thing.
And seeing as today is Andy'd birthday we are thinking back to this tome anyway.
When I look at pictures of Andrew in the hospital its hard to believe how far he has come!
We are so thankful for the many prayers that have been answered and that God chose us to be the parents to the special guy!

Andrew, 5 weeks old.

And now 6 years later, Andy is a wonderful big brother to Brendan and Kayla.
He loves to play outside, and with one of his siblings or Uncles, he hardly ever plays by himself.

He loves school and has been doing great in kindergarten this year!
He enjoys helping out with chores around the house, and he is usually taking orders from his little sister. :)

He loves to ride in the tractor or combine with Daddy or Grampa.
He has a very kind heart and is looking forward to the new baby.
We love you Andrew, and pray that you grow closer to God in the coming year!

And back to the 35 weeks pictures. :)

And baby number 4.

Thing 1 Thing 2 Thing 3 and Thing 4

On our last (so it seems right now) nice warm day of Fall, the kids and I headed outside to take some pictures in outmatching shirts.
They have always been excited to wear these shirts and this was no different.
None of them were really into taking pictures, they were just wanting to run and play so a big thanks to Jen for putting up with us! :) You did great!
Speaking of my things, my app told me today that I have 45 days left...
45 DAYS!?!?!?
Where did the time go?!
Well lets just say these little things don't make a day go by slowly! :)

It's Always a Milestone

30 weeks and 3 days
Its when your baby weighs around 3 pounds.
He/she isn't really big enough to be born, but big enough to show Gods mighty hand at work with every single breath they take.
When I went into labour with Andrew almost 6 years ago I had no idea what the next few months would hold.
I didn't know that our world would be turned upside down and all that we would have to cling to was our trust in God, but that is all that you need.
Little did I know how my heart would be torn every time he wouldn't be breathing well, how many tears I would shed and how many prayers I would pray over that little baby.
Each baby is a miracle, and Andrew showed us that from the very minute that he was born.

Now, when I reach 30 weeks and 3 days I am always so grateful that God has brought us this far,
I'm thankful that if the baby were to be born he/she would be fine.
And pray that this little baby would stay in it's safe place for just a few more weeks. :)

And a big thank you to Megan for this picture!
Its a lot nicer than using an apple tree. :)

The Beginning of the End

The third trimester!
It came so quickly, to think that I only have 12 more weeks left seems unreal!
I guess being pregnant in the Summer with 3 other little kids will do that to you. :)
But its been great!
A really easy pregnancy so far, other than a few aches and stretches here and there I feel fabulous!
At this stage the baby weighs around 2 1/2 pounds and has almost enough fat to keep up its own body temperature.
It can blink its eye lids now, which have the cutest long eye lashes. :)
He/she is around 16 inches long and is kicking up a storm!
I have never had a baby move around this much! :) Its a lot of fun!! The kids have been able to feel kicks too and it makes it more real for them.
At my appointment last week everything sounded great!

And here is my 28 week picture, taken with the self timer while the camera hung from our apple tree. :)

Baby #4 Update

Well, I hadn't really planned to do any weekly updates this time but I have a certain sister-in-law that thought it would be a good idea (she basically begged me to do it) :) So in order to keep the peace I decided to would start.
I can't promise that I'll get to it every week, but I'll do my best.

So here we are, week 26, getting really close to the beginning of the last trimester!
Time has gone by so quickly, I remember with my first 2 pregnancies how I would always wait for the next week to come, now it gets here before I'm ever ready for it! But I am getting excited to see this little one, only 14 weeks to go!
I have been feeling great! With all the late nights of harvest that we have been having I usually don't  have a problem listening to Josh and going for a nap, but otherwise I have a lot of energy and have really enjoyed the Summer!
We had our ultrasound a few weeks ago and they said that everything looked great! Praise the Lord!
We are so thankful for the promise of another blessing on its way!
Highlights for the baby this week are recognizing my voice and other voices heard often, its amazing an amazing thought to know that he/she already knows what I sound like!

And here is my late night, timer on the camera, out of focus, picture! :)

Week 40 continued :)

We did not have to wait till week 41!
Brendan Cole made his appearance on May 6 at 6:59 pm, at 40 weeks and 4 days.
He was ready to be born, weighing 9 pounds and 3 ozs and measuring 22 inches.
He has already been such a blessing to us and we are praising God for another little miracle!
Andy and Kayla love him a lot and holding Brendan is a big treat.
Brendan is a good nurser and a super great snuggler. :) He loves it when his Daddy holds him.
Life is a lot busier with 3 kids though and we have been so blessed by our family and all that they have done for us, keeping Andy and Kayla overnight, or during my nap. Holding Brendan while I have a shower or a nap, bringing us meals and cleaning the house, you guys are all so very special to us and we love you so much!!

Just a few mins old.

From the time he born, till we left the hospital later that evening he was awake and looking around.

At home! Snuggles with Daddy.

A very proud big brother. :)

And big sister too!

We also want to thank everyone who helped us with shingling... yes, we got it done before the baby came. :)
Mom and Dad, Caleb, Zach, Jesse, Nathan, Henry and Steve for all your work up on the roof, Jen, Kerri and Megan for the yummy food and Raechelle for visiting with me and helping the day go by quicker. :) We could never have done it without you!!
