Summer Fun!

A while a go the kids and I went out and took some pictures in the canola field. It was a very hot day, but I enjoyed myself and I don't think that the kids had a terrible time. :)

It's Jens Birthday!

Today is a special day for a special person, my lovely little sister Jennifer. She is a dear sister and I love her a lot!! She has this sweet way about her, but she won't pass up the opportunity to play a joke on someone. :) Jen you have a special place in our hearts, we love you a lot and we pray Gods richest blessings on you!

2. She does a super great job at cutting my hair!

3. She is the biggest horse lover that I know.

4. She always wanted a big sister. 

5. She a very faithful cow milker.

6. She is a super great cook!  

7. She has this problem (so she calls it) of being short. :)

8. She loves her sports and gets quite competitive. :)

9. She has a heart for God.

10. She has a beautiful smile.

11. She loves to love on babies!

12. She was my bridesmaid.

13. Someday she wants an iPhone.

14. She wants that iPhone to be pink. :)

15. She is quick to help pretty much wherever she is needed.

16. She is a super great example!

19. She has a really great big brother. :)

And Combining Has Begun!!

After many days of getting the swathers and combines ready, swathing and then letting it dry we out in the field and harvest has begun. Andrew and Kayla were so excited to go out to the field to watch and go for a ride with Dad. Josh usually does the trucking so being able to ride in a combine is pretty special! :)

Getting It Done Together

This Summer the farm bought another baler. We were going to sell the old one, but.... they needed to get the baling done in a hurry so out came the old baler and things got done twice as fast!

Stormy Weather

The past few weeks have been very hot so we have been dealing with a bunch of thunder storms, hail, high wind and rain. Some of our crops have been damaged which is not what you want to see as a farmer! But we know that God will continue to provide for us as long as we trust in Him! We are very thankful to know that everything will work out for good!

Last night we had another storm so Josh and I were out watching the clouds and I snapped a few pictures. Thankfully this storm did not do much damage, we just had a bunch of rain and wind.
