Special Sundays

My younger sister, Ruth got baptized yesterday.

While I was listening to her testimony and watching her take this wonderful step in her relationship with God it got me thinking of how my parents must feel watching their kids come to know God in a deeper way, committing their lives to Him.
How blessed they must feeling watching her make such an important decision!

What a wonderful thing to witness!

It made me want to try even harder to be the godly example that my kids need.

To teach them in the truth of Gods word so that they will stay strong in the hard times.

It makes me fall on my knees every day just asking God to keep their hearts and minds pure for Him!

It made me want to show them the awesome love and forgiveness of God for them through the way that I live my life.

It made me realize in a deeper way how important it is for me to live for God in a way that will make my kids want to do the same.

For I have no great joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth. 3 John 1:4

Besides the baptism we also spent some family time in the park.

Making the most of Summer

Sometimes in the Summer you go to garages sales in your town.

Sometimes in the Summer the guys are out picking rocks in the fields.

Sometimes your husband asks if you want to meet them in town for lunch.

And you always say yes to no cooking! :)

So we met Josh and his brothers Caleb, Zach, Jess and Nate for lunch.

It was fun time of chatting, eating, sunshine, ice cream and making memories.

Cause sometimes you just need to stop and enjoy Summer.

It melted pretty fast in the sunshine though.

I started out feeding her.

But we both decided this would work better.

Spring Beauty

Lilacs are one of my favourite kinds of flowers, when it comes to ones that don't last very long anyway. :) I wish that they would last longer!

When I was little I wanted to have lilacs for my wedding flowers, I ended up getting married in the middle of Winter, so that didn't happen.

None the less I still enjoy picking these beauties every Spring I could just breath in the fragrance all day!

And they are even more beautiful when they are picked for you by your cute kids!

Hello June 2017

Yes, it is June again!

I am always amazed at how fast time goes once the nice weather comes!

And since we cant really break tradition My beautiful sister-in-law and I are going to attempt to once again blog every day in June.
